The Department of Justice rules under the American with Disabilities Act that ATMs must have a Braille label indicating where the headphones are located.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued a final ruling on the accessibility standards under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it pertains to ATMs. The final rule imposes new accessibility standards for ATMs, including a requirement for voice guidance and tactilely discernable input controls to assist. ATMs must have a Braille label indicating where the headphones are located.
